5 Must-Make Thanksgiving Sides! πŸ¦ƒ 🧑

Hi Reader,

Fall has been on display here in Boise, so I thought I'd share a photo for you here. It's my favorite time of year, and trust me when I say this is a great place to enjoy all the fall colors!

We're getting closer and closer to Thanksgiving, so I'm starting to plan my menu.

We are having a smaller Thanksgiving this year, which means I will probably scale down the side dishes a bit.

Mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce and sweet potato casserole are must-haves here, but my family isn't really into stuffing so I'll probably skip that this year.

Whether you're hosting the entire meal or simply bringing a side dish, I've got you covered with my tried and true Thanksgiving sides below.

What are your must-have holiday side dishes? If you have recipes to share, I'd love to see them!

Happy cooking!

Marcie

Must-Make Thanksgiving Sides

Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes

There's mashed potatoes, then are Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes! They're creamy and fluffy with garlic and a secret ingredient that makes them next level!

Green Bean Casserole from Scratch

This green bean casserole is made completely from scratch and is topped with irresistible crispy fried shallots! It can be customized with store bought french fried onions as a short cut and can be assembled in advance!

Cranberry Orange Sauce

Ditch the canned cranberry sauce and make this Cranberry Orange Sauce instead! It's got the flavors of fresh orange, cinnamon and vanilla and it can be made days in advance!

Easy Crock Pot Stuffing

Did you know that you could make stuffing in your crock pot? You can! It frees up precious oven space and you still get those crispy edges. It's a revelation!

Sweet Potato Casserole with Streusel Topping

This casserole is fluffy, flavorful and topped with a crunchy pecan streusel. You'll never miss those marshmallows, and it can be assembled up to a day in advance!

While I love Thanksgiving dinner, one of the best things about Christmas dinner is that I have the freedom to change up the...
