Easter eats and sweets 🐣🌸

Published about 1 month ago • 2 min read

Hi Reader,

Growing up, Easter was all about my grandmother's melt in your mouth ham and almond rice pilaf. With a side of chocolate bunny and Whopper eggs of course. :)

Things have changed considerably now. Our boys are grown up and the menu changes year by year. That said, I'm sharing some of my favorite recipes below that would make any holiday special.

I've included some options for the main course, holiday worthy sides, and of course some sweet treats!

How do you typically celebrate Easter? Hit reply and let me know!

Happy cooking!
Marcie

Easter Dinner is Served

Slow Cooker Glazed Ham

Say good-bye to those overly sweet honey baked hams! This ham is tender and juicy with a homemade maple orange glaze, and it takes just 10 minutes to prep!

Herb & Garlic Roasted Turkey Breast

If you want delicious roasted turkey without the fuss, this turkey breast recipe is for you! It's juicy and flavorful and it can be prepped up to 3 days in advance!

Pork Loin Roast

This pork loin roast is tender, flavorful and guaranteed to impress! It's nearly effortless and includes an optional creamy dijon pan sauce!

Lemon Garlic Roasted Chicken

You can't beat a juicy, golden brown roast chicken can you? They're so easy to prepare, they're affordable, and they're great for any occasion.

Holiday worthy sides

Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes

Fluffy and creamy with a surprise ingredient, these mashed potatoes are my family's most requested side dish!

Maple Glazed Carrots

These glazed carrots make a colorful, festive Easter side dish that complements any meal. They have the flavors of maple, orange and ginger and they're so easy to make!

Oven Roasted Asparagus

Tender roasted asparagus is finished with fresh lemon and parmesan for a side dish that everyone will love.

Granny's Rice Pilaf

This almond rice pilaf was my grandmother's special recipe -- we enjoyed it for every holiday or gathering. It's just not the holidays without it!

Easter sweets

Key Lime Pie

This key lime pie has a buttery graham cracker crust, sweet, tangy key lime filling, and it's finished with homemade whipped cream. It's the easiest pie you'll ever make, and it's been a family favorite for years.

Hummingbird Cupcakes

If you've never had hummingbird cupcakes, you're in for a treat. The cake is ultra moist with banana, crushed pineapple and coconut, and it's topped with a sweet, tangy cream cheese frosting and toasted pecans. These cupcakes are truly special!

Lemon Pudding Cake

This lemon pudding cake is my favorite lemon dessert of all time, and that's saying something! Layers of fluffy cake and creamy pudding are bursting with lemon flavor, and a dollop of homemade whipped cream takes it over the top.

Chocolate Dipped Coconut Macaroons

These chocolate dipped coconut macaroons are perfect for chocolate and coconut lovers! They're soft and chewy with no condensed milk, they're easy to make, and they're dairy and gluten-free!

Mother's Day Brunch Berry Overnight French Toast Casserole I love going out to brunch, but I never go out to brunch on Mother's Day because all of the restaurants are so busy. I typically host a nice brunch complete with recipes that can be made in advance so that I can enjoy my day too. My berry overnight french toast casserole and overnight blueberry baked oatmeal are sweet and satisfying, and so much easier than flipping pancakes or making waffles for an army. And bacon and eggs never got...

Hi Reader, Cinco de Mayo is coming soon, which means I have another excuse to eat more Mexican food! While I love tacos as much as the next person, I prefer to make enchiladas because I can assemble them completely in advance. Making dinner ahead is how I roll. :) My green enchilada sauce is my personal favorite because of its fresh, vibrant flavor. It's super simple and perfect for green enchiladas and this enchilada bake. I do crave my red enchilada sauce often as well, which comes together...

Quick & Easy Spring Dinners One Pot Italian Sausage Farfalle Pasta I love to cook, but I don't like slaving over a complicated meal that requires washing a multitude of dishes. Dinner just doesn't need to be complicated! If you feel the same way, I've rounded up 10 easy spring dinners and linked them below. They include minimal prep (most of which can be done in advance), and they take 30 minutes to prepare from start to finish. And I promise that clean-up will be kept to a minimum! What's...
