Save money with this Valentine's Day dinner in! ❤️

Published 3 months ago • 2 min read

Hi Reader,

The last thing I ever want to do is go out to dinner on Valentine's Day and pay a ton of money on an overpriced steak dinner that I can easily make at home.

I would much rather prepare a special meal for my family at home, which typically includes pan seared steak with mashed potatoes.

You can find these recipes below, along with a few others just in case you'd rather celebrate Valentine's Day dinner in too. :)

Do you go out on Valentine's Day? Hit reply and let me know your plans!

Happy cooking!
Marcie

Valentine's Day Worthy Dinners

Pan Seared Steak

Skip the fancy steakhouse prices and make your own perfectly pan seared steak at home! You'll save money and it will be every bit as delicious.

Lemon Dijon Baked Salmon

This baked salmon is a family and reader favorite! It's tangy, bursting with fresh lemon flavor and it's ready in no time.

Short Rib Risotto

This short rib risotto is my favorite special occasion dinner, and it has (30) 5-star reviews! It's a must-try recipe.

Perfect Side Dishes

Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes

Fluffy and creamy with a surprise ingredient, these mashed potatoes are my family's most requested side dish! You'll never use russet potatoes again.

Butter Lettuce Salad

This salad is perfect with any main dish! Delicate butter lettuce pairs beautifully with creamy avocado and crisp, peppery radish, and the flavors come alive with a lemony dressing!

Brussels Sprouts with Bacon

Everything is better with bacon, and that definitely applies here! These brussels sprouts are sautéed until caramelized then combined with savory bacon and the brightness of lemon!

Air Fryer Baked Potatoes

These baked potatoes are tender and fluffy with ultra crispy potato skins and you don’t have to wrap them in foil or preheat the oven. They make an easy, gluten-free side dish that the entire family will love!

Don't forget the Chocolate!

Chocolate Mousse

This chocolate mousse is the ultimate Valentine's dessert! It's smooth and creamy, and it can be made entirely in advance!

Chocolate Truffles

Nothing says I love you like chocolate truffles! They're rich and creamy, rolled in your choice of festive coatings, and they include just 4 ingredients!

Mother's Day Brunch Berry Overnight French Toast Casserole I love going out to brunch, but I never go out to brunch on Mother's Day because all of the restaurants are so busy. I typically host a nice brunch complete with recipes that can be made in advance so that I can enjoy my day too. My berry overnight french toast casserole and overnight blueberry baked oatmeal are sweet and satisfying, and so much easier than flipping pancakes or making waffles for an army. And bacon and eggs never got...

Hi Reader, Cinco de Mayo is coming soon, which means I have another excuse to eat more Mexican food! While I love tacos as much as the next person, I prefer to make enchiladas because I can assemble them completely in advance. Making dinner ahead is how I roll. :) My green enchilada sauce is my personal favorite because of its fresh, vibrant flavor. It's super simple and perfect for green enchiladas and this enchilada bake. I do crave my red enchilada sauce often as well, which comes together...
