8 better-than-store-bought snacks

Hi Reader,

I may be biased, but I think the snacks I make at home are better than anything I can buy at the store. And most importantly, they're so easy that I don't mind making them!

I'm sharing (8) of my favorite snacks below that are nutritious, delicious and they can all be prepped in advance.

You'll save money and they all have ingredients that you can pronounce.

My favorite snack is my peanut butter protein balls -- what's yours? Hit reply and let me know!

Happy snacking!

Marcie

Easy snacks you can prep ahead

Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal Bars

I created these bars when my sons were school age and I was tired of buying store bought snacks. These were an instant hit in my house and became a reader favorite. They are also great for breakfast or when you're craving a sweet treat!

Greek Yogurt Fruit Dip

I love doctoring up plain Greek yogurt with a bit of honey or citrus to make a satisfying dip for fruit or graham crackers. It's great for every day and is also a fun snack for parties!

Peanut Butter Protein Balls

Peanut butter and chocolate is my favorite combo, and these protein balls are so good they taste like a treat! They come together in 10 minutes and store beautifully in the fridge.

White Bean Hummus

If you've got a can of white beans, you can make this hummus. It's creamy, satisfying and made with a few simple ingredients (there's no tahini!). Serve it with your favorite crunchy veggies or crackers and you've got the perfect snack.

Homemade KIND Bars

I bet you didn't know you could make KIND bars at home for a fraction of the price -- and they're so easy! They're crunchy and customizable, and dipping them in chocolate is optional (just kidding).

Greek Tzatziki Dip

This is one of my favorite dips on the planet and it comes together with just a few fresh ingredients. It's a good source of protein thanks to Greek yogurt, and is great served with pita chips or crunchy veggies!

Chocolate Banana Protein Smoothie

With just a few ingredients, you can blend up a protein shake that tastes downright amazing. This is super customizable with your favorite protein powder and nut butter!

Roasted Nuts

These are so great to munch on any time of day. I love whipping up a big batch as they keep in an air tight container for weeks. They're super customizable and are a great appetizer for parties!
