β Hi Reader, I hope you had a wonderful Fourth of July! πΊπΈ Our friends threw a wonderful party, so we celebrated there. The weather was a bit wild as there was thunder, lightning and rain, but luckily it didn't spoil the fun. And the view of the orchards was beautiful as you can see above. :) I'm so excited that rhubarb season is here, and I've been buying up all the gorgeous red stalks that I can get my hands on. I made my strawberry rhubarb crisp for our weekly Sunday dinner with our kids recently, and I have plans to bake pie soon. :) I steered clear of rhubarb for years after a bad experience during my childhood that you can read about in my Rhubarb produce guide, but thankfully I know how special it is now. If you haven't been exposed to it, my produce guide has a variety of recipes to inspire you to try it, or use it more often. I'm also linking a few of my favorite rhubarb recipes below as well. What do you think of rhubarb? Hit reply and let me know, and please include any recipes that you love as well! Hi Reader, I'm super excited for the Fourth of July. We're going to a barbecue, so I'm going to bring a side...and probably something extra because that's how I am. π I'm not sure which dish(es) I'll bring yet though -- I'm so torn! There are too many great options. For me, the side dishes steal the show. Potato and pasta salads, slaws, corn on the cob and cornbread muffins can definitely steal the show, and if you're like me, you're always on the lookout for exciting new recipes. I'm sharing...
Hi Reader, I'm in disbelief that we're over halfway through June already! I've had summer desserts on my mind A LOT lately (I've been especially craving fruit crisp!), so I thought I'd round up a collection of Fourth of July dessert ideas. It's summer after all and these recipes make the most of it. :) Before we get to those, I've got a new recipe...
